Quote

This is a quote I heard today that reminded me of why I started this blog.

"The limits of my language are the limits of my mind. All I know is what I have words for."
- Ludwig Wittgenstein.

I just got back into the blogosphere! Not as a writer yet. But looking.

Thoughts: The limits of your being are not the limits of your language nor your mind. This is not necessarily a response to your quote, but a reflection upon my own understanding of limiting what my expression of faith and love looks like to merely words and ideas - the realm of language and mind. Thoughts?

Nice. Sometimes, when I get stuck blogging, it's because I just don't have words. How can we begin to understand what we have no words for? Sometimes, I have no words for God. I love him, serve him, but can't limit him to my Frankenstein's monster of a language.

You are talking about something different Mr B.C. The limits of your being are (I would say) different to the limits of your mind.

But maybe not, for I can only be what I can imagine being, and how can I imagine something if I cannot fully form an image of it in my mind?
